Wing Haven Gardens and Bird Sanctuary has been an important part of the beautiful Charlotte landscape since 1927. Designated as a Historic Site by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Landmarks Commission, the gardens has over three acres of formal gardens and woodland areas all created with loving care to encourage wildlife. The nursery offers favorite perennials, as well as rare and unusual plants for sale, along with an educational story about your plants needs from one of the passionate staff. Enjoy free programs offered at the garden, but be sure to allow yourself the time to enjoy the one hour walk through gorgeous gardens! Wing Haven is located in the regal Myers Park neighborhood.
Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens was established in 1991 as a gift from Daniel Jonathan Stowe of nearly 400 acres designated as one of the world’s best botanical gardens. Winding paths, fountains, statues, lawns and an indoor orchid conservatory are just a few of the many delights Daniel Stowe offers. This is a great destination for visitors, families, groups and picnickers! Daniel Stowe is located in Belmont and is easily accessible from Interstate 85.
