Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week has returned to Charlotte through January 26!

Restaurant Week is a highly anticipated culinary feast providing access to the finest restaurants in the Charlotte area. During Queen’s Feast, for $30 per person, Charlotte metro’s best restaurants will offer 3 or more courses.

Charlotteans and guests can enjoy the opportunity to experience fine dining without breaking the bank! Several of Charlotte’s acclaimed restaurants are participating in Restaurant Week and are eager to invite you to make your reservations!

Steak lovers wanting to stay on the South Side will enjoy Sullivan’s Steakhouse, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.  The mouth-watering sizzle of steak can also be enjoyed Uptown at the Capital Grille, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Morton’s The Steakhouse.

Diners who enjoy beautifully cooked finned main entrées can enjoy their fancy fish at Upstream in the Southpark area, or in the Uptown and Southpark areas at McCormick and Schmick’s.

QUEEN CITY WARMTH IN A COLD SNAP January 7, 2014

A Queen City Cold Snap has welcomed in 2014! Our usually mild, some say “perfect weather” city has surrendered to Mother Nature and  left our Southern tempered bodies shivering in bewilderment!

The bitter cold has,however, warmed the hearts of Charlotteans and prompted many to consider the less fortunate needing help.

Steve’s Coats for Kids Campaign is more important than ever and runs through January 15th. Spear headed by Steve Udelson, Eyewitness News Meteorologist, the campaign is in its 10th year of collecting new and gently used children’s coats of all sizes. Over 42 designated collections sights, including Channel 9, the Charlotte Fire Department and Ashley Furniture Home Stores will be accepting donations throughout the Charlotte area.

All coats are given to the Crisis Assistance Ministry, and independent non-profit agency. The coats spend less than 48 hours in the Crisis Assistance Ministry Store before received by someone in need.
