This Christmas is the year of the Panther! The Carolina Panthers’ journey to 14 and 0 has the Queen City bursting with hometown pride as the Cats push one step closer to clinching a home field advantage through the playoffs!

All North Carolinians see is blue and black for Christmas! The jersey of Cam Newton is the most sought after holiday gift in North Carolina, according to Vox based Google data. It is not surprising; with Quarterback Cam Newton being the first player in NFL history with five touchdown passes, 100 yards rushing and 300 yards passing in a single game. Charlotte is a city of devoted fans proud of their Panther passion!

That rumble you hear isn’t reindeer on the roof top, it’s the powerful purring energy as vendors, restaurateurs, and local businesses welcome people drawn to one the cleanest, safest and friendliest towns in the United States that just happens to be home to the #1 rated team in the NFL! Everyone seems to agree, this year’s team is something special!

Charlotte offers many sports venues that draw fans from all parts of the U.S. Uptown Charlotte is home to Charlotte Knights baseball, Carolina Panthers football and Charlotte Hornets basketball all within a five-block radius! Hotels, restaurants, bars and shopping encircle the sports trifecta, making Charlotte a sports fan haven of entertainment and convenience!

Venturing outside the perimeter of the reigning Panthers, Charlotte offers a plethora of sports for all fans!

The Charlotte Checkers are the Carolina Hurricanes’ top minor-league hockey affiliate. Home games are played at Bojangles’ Coliseum.

The Charlotte Hounds plays Major League Lacrosse at the American Legion Memorial Stadium at 310 North Kings Drive.

The PGA Tours Wells Fargo Championship is played at the Quail Hollow Club and is a favorite of the touring pros. In 2017 Quail Hollow will host the PGA Championship!

Charlotte Independence USL officially kicked into the Charlotte soccer scene in 2015. Games are played at Ramblewood, 1200 Nations Ford Road.

Sports fans are flocking to Charlotte to experience everything from NASCAR to Ultimate Frisbee! Even with the NBA All-Star game making Charlotte the center of all things basketball in 2017,right now, in the year 2015, it is all about the pigskin!
